So perhaps you're new to doing exercise or you haven't exercised in a long while. Often, it can seem a little too much and even a little bit awful... All you have to do is get going and take off walking. You should make walking a huge part of your workout plan.

There are many ways you can fit walking into your day-to-day agenda. This is simple if you have a dog - merely take it for no less than 10 minute plus walk daily. After one week, you'll have walked no less than seventy minutes more than if you hadn't walked at all. You can double this by just walking with your dog twice a day. One thing you might want to consider is walking part of the way to work; you can make this as long as you want by just stopping short of your workplace. Evidently, if you live quite far frp, your workplace, it's not such a good idea to walk all the way there daily (but feel free to try if you think you can do it!) Walking for 30 minutes to work is doable, and if you walk to and from work you'll be walking for an hour daily. Then again, if you ride a bus to work, you can just try to use a bus stop farther away than the one you usually use. You'll find it truly is no big deal to add more walking to your daily exercise regimen.


If you wish to improve your health, nothing beats walking. The reason walking is so great for your heart and at helping you lose weight is that it is the best aerobic workout. Walking is normally done in a leisurely manner, so you won't be putting stress on your joints too much, unlike running. I have a skinny brother who seems to be able to consume anything he wants and continue to thin. I asked him about it. He claims he's never truly thought about it, but maybe it's because he walks quite a bit on a daily basis. When he told me that, everything all of a sudden added up. Walking is easy exercise, so there really is no reason you shouldn't walk.

The moment you establish walking as a part of your everyday routine, it will become more effortless to stay with it, and as a bonus you'll begin to notice you're getting thinner, too. You won't have to worry about motivation, because walking is not all that strenuous, and you'll be encouraged at how much better you feel. The more you walk, the more you'll be wanting to walk . . . and the more quickly you'll want to walk. If you believe you can walk more - go for it. Once you get to the point where you're walking at a very good pace and feel ready, You may be ready for jogging. And you can move on to even more strenuous workout regimens, if you prefer.


Now the cat's out of the bag - there is just no excuse to not get out there and start walking. No matter how full your day is, you can certainly find 10 minutes here and there for a quick walk.
